I let a lot of things in my life over the years. I gave authority to those I was told to give authority. By men a slave to men rather than captive and staggered by the God above. Heroes, role models, and mentors all failing; all insufficient. May this be the dawn of a new era in my life. An era not of men or my will, but an era where I see the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up in the temple of my heart and soul. A time of looking up and no longer looking back.
Lord, grant me the strength.
