Last week a visitor found my blog by typing in “hiding christian brokeness” into a search engine. I’ve repeated the phrase over and over in my head trying to wrap my mind around it. I can’t help but wonder what the individual was looking for, what they were experiencing, if they were trying to conceal their hurt, or if they were feeling pressured into pretending that everything in their life is just fine…
…You know what? I’ve been working on this post for almost a week, and what I was going to say regarding hiding Christian brokenness just doesn’t seem important now. Instead let me say this:
Be honest with God, be honest with yourself, and be honest with those around you. If you are dealing with your own brokenness deal with it honestly, and be prepared to wrestle with it.
If you are around fellow Christians that are uncomfortable around your hurt and encourage you to hide your problem rather than seek help, then perhaps you need to find better Brothers and Sisters to aid you in moving towards healing and wholeness.
By this I do not mean that you are to seek out those who will agree with you even when you are wrong just so you can justify things in your life that should not be justified, but rather that you should find those who will sit in the ash with you, be available for you, and always point you to God; because God is the only one who can heal your brokenness. But it starts with honesty and a willingness to submit to the Lord’s hands.

Amen Amen!!!
I get tired of Christians pretending they have to be perfect now that we are being perfected! Peter! Peter! The Rock! Denied our Lord Jesus! After knowing so much, and he was forgiven. Then Peter! Oh Peter! Cornerstone of the church! He hung out with Jews and wasn’t being completely loving towards gentiles! Enough so that Paul had to correct him. I’m not trying to pick on Peter, if my exploits were written down I’d be worst off. But we are not perfect. Live it. Don’t lie to God because it won’t work… it just means you are retarded.
